I pretty much love anything sweet, but I especially love cut-out sugar cookies. Especially ones with a generous layer of frosting. I hardly ever make cut-out cookies because of the time commitment and mess, but yesterday, in a batch of cut-out star cookies owed to my preschool daughter as a reward for her recent series of good naps, I decided to skip all the re-rolling and re-chilling of the dough:
I mean, after the nice cookies are done for the preschool daughter, the guests, the potluck, or whatever else they are being made for, who really cares how they look? After all, aren’t cut-out sugar cookies just a vessel for frosting anyway?
